Your Sustainable Home: EDGE Certification
20 February, 2024 by Javer
At Javer, we have 9 projects certified as EDGE in Aguascalientes, Estado de México, Nuevo León, and Querétaro. With this, we can guarantee that we offer housing solutions aligned with environmental care and respect, benefiting more than 15,000 clients. These homes will save energy equivalent to lighting more than 27,000 LED bulbs per year; the water saved would fill 85 Olympic-sized swimming pools, and the CO2 absorbed would be equivalent to a forest of over 60,000 trees during that period.
The EDGE certification (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies), issued by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, evaluates energy efficiency, water efficiency, and energy savings through the materials used in the construction of each house. It aims to reduce the amount of resources used in construction by certifying the use of efficient materials and eco-technologies, ensuring the high quality of the homes and their alignment with sustainability.
This certification is part of our 12 environmental programs that demonstrate our commitment to the environment: mitigating and compensating for the environmental impact of our operations.
Obtaining it represents the effort made by our operations and sustainability teams. Likewise, our homes are audited by external institutions that guarantee quality and accuracy to be designated as green construction, providing confidence and transparency in our developments.
Our certified projects with EDGE Certification allow our clients significant savings of between 20-31% in energy and 30%-50% in water, which is reflected in their bills.
