Urban October packed with activities for our community

Urban October is a UN-HABITAT initiative that promotes awareness engagement, knowledge and collaborative action of the international community in the creation of a better urban future. It begins on the first Monday of October with different activities worldwide to commemorate World Habitat Day.
We celebrate Urban October with a week full of activities involving our staff members and our communities. Our program begins with the inauguration of our photography and drawing gallery. For this event, we invited our staff members to participate by sending a photograph showing how they see their cities through the lens of their camera or smartphone. Also, the children of our staff members participated by sending drawings of the parks of their dreams. Finally, one winner was selected in each category per location, and their entries are on display in the reception area of our corporate headquarters.
Another activity included in our program is the painting of murals with the Urban October theme "A better future for all". We invited the neighbors of our communities in the state of Nuevo León to attend and participate in this event, where six murals designed by children from the community were painted in different residential developments.
Also, we held internal group dynamics and a conference in which the collaborators learned a little more about the recent certification obtained in the Muriel Residencial development. With this certification, our organization embraces a more assertive approach to sustainability projects, which certainly fits in with the theme of the month. In addition, we announced our plan to achieve the next EDGE green housing certification in the Magnolias 3 development, in the State of Mexico.
It is worth mentioning that although this month of October ends, we are committed to offering real estate solutions and generating value for our stakeholders. Progress on SDG 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities, is a priority for our organization, as well as our alignment with other national and international standards. By doing so, we keep our sights set on creating a better urban future for everyone.
