Javer celebrates children with social commitment
27 May, 2024 by Javer
In JAVER, like every year, we commemorate Children's Day by supporting various causes that promote social commitment, development, education, safety, and children's health. This year was no exception, and in each of our locations, our volunteers had extremely rewarding moments that we hope the beneficiaries enjoyed greatly and remember with great joy.
Volunteering
In the State of Mexico, we visited the Ronald McDonald's Foundation, which promotes the follow-up of children's medical treatments, aiming to improve their quality of life. Additionally, with transportation, lodging, and meals provided, the foundation supports thousands of families who have to travel from their places of origin to access specialized hospitals to care for their little ones. Thirteen volunteers attended the facilities to learn about various cases of families managing their children's medical processes with the Foundation. They shared their experiences during the meal we were able to share and during the piggy bank painting activities that each of the 22 beneficiaries chose to take home as a souvenir of this day.
In Nuevo León, taking advantage of the commemoration of Autism Day as well, eight volunteers attended the facilities of Autism ARENA to interact with the 195 children and adolescents receiving care and education in the morning shift at this center. Their daily activities promote the integral development of children diagnosed with this condition for their inclusion. Throughout the day, beneficiaries were celebrated with educational games and activities designed for fun and learning. They also enjoyed a visit from a storyteller and all shared a healthy snack, had the opportunity to break a commemorative piñata, and received gifts that we hope will inspire them to continue imagining and having fun.
In other locations, the celebration was directly for the children of the JAVER home. In the Aguascalientes plaza, the children of our collaborators had access to the games and fun that the great San Marcos Fair offers. In Cancun and Playa del Carmen, we offered games, activities, and contests for the little ones to have a great day.
Commitment to our children
In addition to providing these fun spaces, we aim to raise awareness in our community about the importance of education and childcare through these activities. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and hope to continue making a difference in the future. We also want to thank all the volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to make this day a success. Your commitment and generosity are inspiring, and at JAVER, we will continue to support initiatives that demonstrate it.
