We inaugurate the second classroom for workers and community
14 April, 2023 by Javer
Following the success of our educational classroom for construction personnel in “Valle de Lincoln”, this Monday, March 27, we inaugurated the second classroom in alliance with “Construyendo y Creciendo A.C.”.
Today, specialized construction workers, maintenance workers, their families, and the community of “Valle de Santa Isabel” in Juárez, Nuevo León, have a new academic space. In this space, literacy workshops will be offered, in elementary school, middle school, and high school levels with valid certification recognized by the competent authorities; also offering computing courses, basic Excel, blueprint reading, among other skills.
Members of the “Construyendo y Creciendo” team attended the inauguration event and offered words of encouragement and support to all members of the community.
"Out there, on the construction site, you build houses. In here, you build your dreams, your future." Said Cecilia Garcia, Educational and Operations Director of “Construyendo y Creciendo”.
In addition, the Architect Rolando Gallegos de la Rosa, Chief of Building Supervision of Javer, shared his experience at the school to inspire and encourage all those interested to continue with their personal development. “You never stop learning, at least if you want to”, he said.
For JAVER, it is of outmost importance to emphasize the value of the commitment of each employee in being part of this project, since taking classes and performing work activities is not an easy task, but it is an extremely enriching one.
This initiative demonstrates the effort we are making at Javer to strengthen our commitment to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, and in this case number 4; Quality Education. We will continue to promote these actions, committed to being agents of change and to continue positioning ourselves as a leader in the industry, always with a focus on sustainability and social responsibility.
