We prioritize environmental stewardship by implementing recycling and reutilization practices

As part of the commemoration of World Environment Day, we are sharing some recycling programs that are part of our actions for environmental care.
At Javer, we maintain a strong commitment to environmental conservation by driving various environmental programs. Among our 14 ongoing programs, four of them are focused on responsible consumption: JAVER Recycling, Sustainable Urban Furniture, Environmental Education, and Bottle cap Recycling with SIMEX.
The JAVER Recycling Program enables us to recycle different types of materials with the help of our communities and staff. In the "Reciclatón Challenge" campaign, we challenge our employees to recycle the highest amount of material in 6 months to win a prize. So far, we have recycled over 8,000 kilograms of materials such as PET, paper, and bottle caps. Over the past 6 years, we have recycled more than 22,000 kilograms of materials in our operations and administrative activities.
Within our communities, we have implemented a program through which we managed to exchange over 9,000 cleaning products in 2022 in partnership with companies like AlEn. These products are offered in exchange for PET and HDPE plastic containers, resulting in over 7,000 kilograms of recycled plastic.
Our strategic alliances with suppliers such as SIMEX have created a triple impact synergy. First, the recycled bottle caps are collected and taken to our supplier to be transformed into plastic chairs. Consequently, the monetary value equivalent to these recycled bottle caps is donated to associations supporting children with cancer. Additionally, the chairs produced with recycled plastic are used in the construction processes of our homes. All of our urban furniture is made from 100% recycled and recyclable material. So far, we have installed over 1,200 pieces of this type of equipment in our developments, which is equivalent to recycling over 570,000 plastic containers and preserving over 1,100 trees.
We recognize that education is a fundamental tool for achieving significant transformations. Our environmental education program aims to raise awareness through video conferences and workshops on responsible consumption and the 5 R's: refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, and return to the earth with our composting systems.
Although we have a long way to go, our goal is to enjoy the journey and maintain consistency and passion in doing more for our planet. We invite you to be inspired by this passion and take collective actions towards responsible consumption.
