More than 40 volunteers joined the “Arborizando Nuestras Comunidades” campaign, planting 60 trees in the “Cima Serena” development located in El Salto, Jalisco.

Protecting the environment and promoting the care and construction of the social network in our Javer communities is of great importance to us. With this purpose, in addition to achieving sustainability in our developments, we implemented multiple environmental and social programs, such as “Arborizando Nuestras Comunidades”. This program allows us to increase the density of trees in our developments. Likewise, allowing us to improve the quality of life of our clients and families in our communities.

The past February 18, with the support of our employees, we planted 60 trees of 4 different species in “Cima Serena III”, the development is located in El Salto, Jalisco. The morning started early for the 47 volunteers in attendance, between kids, young people, and adults, who did not take much time to plant the 60 trees. In only 40 minutes, holes were dug, and trees were planted. The activity ended with a lunch, rewarding the great effort made. Likewise, each one of the volunteers was given a garden kit, with which they were able to germinate and grow basil, cilantro, and vegetables, perfect for cooking incredible dishes at home.

The results of the activity were outstanding. More than 2,800 m2 of green areas restored and 87 kg of CO2 stored in the 60 trees planted. These indicators are in addition to the more than 2,500 trees planted through the program. In addition, and as in all of our planting activities, we try to ensure that the species planted are endemic to the ecosystem to which they are introduced. In this way we achieved the survival and adaptation, the care they need in their lifetime will be less and will promote sustainability of the development. This ensures a much more efficient maintenance of common areas so that our neighbors live in a better place.
